Once you get here

• Get a Tech Express card - this card is very important. It is used as your library card, computer lab access, after-hours building access, parking lot access , on-campus debit card, student discount card, picture ID, and much more. The Tech Express office is located on the first floor of the Memorial Union Building (MUB).

You may hear about an "M number." Historically, the University used Social Security numbers to code student's information, but it has since switched. Learn about your number at Student Records and Registration or via this link .

• Although it is not required, you should register your vehicle and determine your parking situation.

• Learn about financial aid to receive scholarships, loans, employment opportunities, etc.

If you don't have a place to stay yet, here is a link to some housing resources

• Participate in orientation to meet other new students. By attending, you will also receive a lot of information and be able to receive answers to your questions, in person. (note: a fee is required to attend)
