If you need any camping supplies, as a Michigan Tech student, you may rent from the Tech Adventures Rental Center, a part of the Outdoor Adventure Program. In Copper Harbor, the Keweenaw Adventure Company also has rentals for bikes, kayaks, and more. The following links have some overlap as the ski trails are used as biking trails and you can hike in many more places beyond.
