Memorial Union Building (MUB) [top]
Referred to as "the MUB."
Offers a food mall,
corner store and video game room on ground floor;
Free bowling and billiards on weekends for students below the ground floor;
ATM machines, Campus Store, Promotions Center, Postage Stamps, Ride Board, Student organization offices and Tech Express, all on first floor;
Ballrooms on second floor may be reserved for any event, with catering services, e.g. weddings, etc.
Overnight Accommodations are also available
Events occur through a student organization, the Memorial Union Board

National Student Exchange (NSE) [top]
A consortium of four-year colleges and universities in the United States and its territories that have joined together for the purpose of exchanging students among the member institutions.
NSE features a tuition reciprocity system that allows students to attend their host institution by paying the normal tuition/fees of their home campus.
Work completed while on the exchange at the host campus (one semester to one year) is brought back to the home institution and credited to the student's degree program.

For dorm dwellers, register your vehicle at Housing Facilities Office in Douglas Houghton Hall, Room G044. (parking lots)
For commuters, register your vehicle and designate your parking lot at Student Records and Registration in the Administration Building.
Metered parking available, where registering your vehicle is not required.
Parking is enforced by Public Safety.

Every dorm room has a phone line, but you have to provide your own telephone. Voicemail services are also available free of charge. If want long distance, contact Telecommunications Services for Tech Connect.
Cell Phone service is provided by Michigan Tech Cellular
On-campus service is under the Information Technology Services - Telecommunications Department
For on-campus calls from an on-campus phone: all on-campus phone numbers start with 487-####.
To dial an on-campus phone number, dial 7 along with the last four
digits.
To dial off-campus from an on-campus phone: dial an 8 and then the number.
Off-campus phone service is provided by SBC Michigan, 800-244-4444 or Baraga Telephone Service, 906/353-6644. Cellular service is provided by Michigan Tech Cellular or Cellular One located in Downtown Houghton, 702 Sheldon Ave, 906/482-8484.
