The Department
of Educational Opportunity provides academic
and personal educational opportunities,
outreach, and support programs. We initiate
and coordinate pre-college, women's,
minority, and outreach activities.
Educational Opportunity also offers
workshops and programs that focus on student
retention, cultural awareness and faculty
development on related topics.
The department's various units employ a
number of students, both during the academic
year and especially in the summer. We act as
a resource base for many student groups and
can assist in planning and implementing
conferences and workshops for student
professional societies.
Through summer session offerings,
partnerships with businesses and
communities, pre-college youth programs, and
personal and professional development
workshops, Educational Opportunity improves
learning opportunities for all MTU students. |
