Need help with a class? A Learning Center may be the solution. Each center is staffed by upper-class students who've mastered the material but still remember what it's like to be completely baffled. They can help coach you through homework problems, prepare you for an exam or help you master the confusing concepts. Most centers have walk-in hours, or more regular meetings individually or with a team. Check out this website and check with your department to find a learning center that can help you.

Career Center
www.ucc.mtu.edu

The Career Center, located in Harold Meese building by Jim's Foodmart, is a valuable resource for students. The center organizes two job fairs each year (Fall and Spring) so that companies can recruit MTU students for full-time jobs, internships and co-ops. They also hold seminars to prepare students for the job fairs. Throughout the year, the Career Center will critique your resume cover letter, hold a mock-interview with you, and help you find your perfect job. The website allows you to browse through job postings, create and post your resume online and receive helpful hints to prepare you for your career.
